2024 Delta Omega Chapter HBCU Scholarships
The Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® is now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 scholarship season. For complete requirements and guidelines, see scholarship details below or the Delta Omega Scholarship Guide.
Scholarship Purpose:
To provide scholarships to high school graduating seniors intending to pursue a post-high school course of study at Virginia State University or at a Historically Black College/University (HBCU); and to provide book scholarships to high school graduating seniors intending to pursue a post-high school course of study at Virginia State University or at an HBCU.
Scholarship Descriptions & Essay Requirements:
Students may apply for all listed scholarships, only one will be awarded per person. Essays must be typed, double-spaced and contain a minimum of 150 words. Students may submit applications through our digital application or through our fillable PDF form. All attachments for the PDF application must be submitted via email for the application to be considered complete.

VSU Trojan Tuition Scholarship (2) Available
The VSU Trojan Tuition Scholarship award of $1,500 has been established for deserving high school students attending a Historically Black College or University in the 2024-25 school year from the required schools list above.
HBCU Tuition Scholarship (2) Available
The HBCU Tuition Scholarship award of $1,500 has been established for deserving high school students attending a Historically Black College or University in the 2024-25 school year from the required schools list above.
VSU Trojan Book Scholarship (2) Available
The VSU Trojan Book Scholarship award of $650 has been established for deserving high school students attending a Historically Black College or University in the 2024-25 school year from the required schools list above.
HBCU Book Scholarship (2) Available
The HBCU Book Scholarship award of $650 has been established for deserving high school students attending a Historically Black College or University in the 2024-25 school year from the required schools list above.
Scholarship Criteria

Must attend one of the required high schools listed in the Scholarship Guide.

Must have demonstrated service in his/her school and community.

Must submit all required attachments for the application to be considered.

Candidate will enroll and attend an HBCU, failure to do so will result in the award being rescinded.
How Do I Submit?
All applications must be submitted no later than March 29, 2024 at 11:59 pm. Applications may be submitted directly through the links below, by email or by mailing in.
